Summerfield Temple Walk!

"Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart-- that's TRUE STRENGHTH"
(Thank you RICHELLE ANDERSON for this awesome quote, which I stole!)

Saturday morning...I woke up at 2:30a.m., met the youth and leaders in my ward at our church at 3:00a.m., drove to the Draper Temple, took some pictures, and started our journey to the Salt Lake Temple at 3:30a.m.

We began preparing to do this in April. We walked 3 times a week together, and we were all very excited to do it. Why did we do this? To teach our youth that getting to the temple is their #1 goal in life, to remember that the temple means we can be with our families forever, and to teach them that we/they CAN do hard things...and this WAS hard!

A picture at the Draper Temple to start...

We had 5 stops along the way, where members of our ward were waiting with fruit, water, snacks, and treats. We would not have made it without these stops.
Also notice the lanyard's we all wore...each with a picture of our family on them.

We finally made it...10 hours, 22 miles later...extremely sore hips, legs, feet, well...pretty much everything hurt. But look who was there waiting for me. My family...who I get to be with forever!

And a group shot of all of us at our final destination!

My battle wounds...

This was a wonderful experience. I am so proud of the youth, the leaders, and grateful for all the support we received. This is something I will never forget! A wonderful experience!

I can do hard things!

St.George Fun!!

Dear St.George:  We had so much fun while visiting you, thanks for the hospitality. Here are a few of the things we did, what we enjoyed, and the fun we had!!

Road trips are the best...of course a picture to start the trip off right!

A quick stop for lunch.

Photo with a nice man, who worked at Wendy's, and gave the boys lots of toys...I know, odd!

Hit the pool immediately!

And then the park for dinner and play time.

And highlight of the trip...ran into sister wife Meri and a few of the kids at Walmart. Super nice, and hilarious to chat with her about her life, like she was a close friend, but I think we are friends now!

More park time...

The boys arrived on day 2...yay!

We decided it was a must to venture into Vegas...so glad we did. We shopped, we ate, we played, and then shopped some more!

The Vegas Outlet stores...

New hats for Ellie & Jack...

The Palms Mexican restaurant...a MUST for the best lunch ever!

Next stop Circus Circus...I might like it more than the kids!

More swimming...

New clothes.

Left for home on Father's Day.
So a shout out to my wonderful husband...who is the BEST father ever! We are a lucky family to have him in our lives, and we love him so very much!

Thank you St.George!
Love...Me
